Develop new series and senior produce podcasts for Futuro Studios, a Pulitzer prize-winning podcast and original programming studio from Futuro Media. Senior produced critically-acclaimed podcasts: dual language series, La Brega; Chess Piece: The Elián González Story with iHeart; The Sum of Us with Higher Ground Audio, as well as support other shows at Futuro such as: reporting, editing and producing for Latino USA; producing for Stars and Stars with Isa; production management for My Divo and our Pulitzer prize-winning show Suave.

In The Thick, Futuro Media Group | Supervising Producer | New York | Jan. 2018 - May 2021

I started as intern and was hired on as associate producer in Mar. 2018. In May 2019 I was promoted to producer. Now as supervising producer for In The Thick, an award winning weekly podcast about race, politics and culture, I help lead the team. I write and edit scripts and web copy, book guests and their studios/tape syncs, lead recordings, coach host reads, lead editorial final listens, and edit, score, and upload shows. I also report stories and record audio in the field. I manage the production schedule and facilitate weekly editorial meetings. I research and fact check. I am the lead producer for live shows. I co-created curriculum and facilitated podcasting workshops across the country. I manage and write advertisements. I manage associate producers and fellows. I support social media content production and podcast branding. I conduct financial reporting. In Jul. 2020, I started to also lead produce Futuro Studios’ new collaboration: The TransLash Podcast with Imara Jones.

iMentor | Senior College Success Counselor | New York | June 2011 - July 2015

Began as program coordinator with high school program and over years was promoted into the college years program - a program that I co-designed for 600+ mentee-mentor pairs through project management, curriculum development and codification of program metrics and processes to allow for scalable growth. I counseled a cohort of 275 first-generation college students and their mentors for mentee college and career success. Supervised two College Success Counselors by leading team meetings, advising on projects and coaching. Managed the pilot CUNY-CBO Success Collaborative partnership with CUNY College of Technology. Co-founded Inclusion and Equity Committee to integrate diversity programming in staff culture. Launched an annual peer internal staff mentoring program to refine the onboarding process and provide leadership opportunities to current staff.
